Pre-con Panic

Frill is only 1 and 1/2 weeks away and I am FREAKING OUT. I'm so excited but so nervous, I've been working on my coordinates a lot recently and now I'm just praaaaaying that it all works out.
Saturday I have kind of a fairytale deer themed outfit. Lots of browns and some fake deer antlers. :3 Then that night night they have some night time planning which I have a pink and black polka dot outfit for. And Sunday I have a rococo riding inspired outfit planned which I'm very excited about! I don't want to give too much away because it'll ruin the surprise but here's the bare bones of two of my outfits!
Sorry I couldn't get the picture to turn the right way! :x
More to come and progress on my skirt garden! :3

A peasant in the mall?

Outfit post time! I wore this casual outfit the other day to the mall with my sister and am suddenly absolutely in love with peasant blouses. Holy cow I want them so much! I also got a new skirt! (Well new for me, second hand for life!) It has some definite sentimental value for me. Candy Violet was the company that introduced me to lolita through it's old advertisements in Shojo Beat Magazine. If they had never advertised in there I may have never become a lolita! And not only that but the skirt I got was the first skirt I ever wanted. Granted, not in the color I wanted but I don't wear black and white anymore! And it's my first candy violet skirt on top of that. I am so deeply in love with it. It's gorgeous in every single way. It's my perfect skirt.
 Outfit rundown:
Shirt- offbrand
Skirt- Candy Violet
Shoes- Offbrand
Bow (Unseen in this picture) Detachable bow from Sweet Rococo Skirt.

Bonus! My sister and I being super dorks.

Growing thread flowers

So, before I went over to this blog I did a Review of Sweet Rococo and got this skirt:
And, unfortunately, the first day I wore it I got a nasty ink stain on the side of it! Who leaves puddles of quill ink in seats?? You can see it in the above picture vaguely on the left hand side. It doesn't look all too bad in pictures but it was pretty obvious in real life. For a while I just matched detachable bows with my outfit there but I got sick of that and it hung in my closet for a while, just sitting there. The pink was a bit hard to coordinate on it's own and it was really plain so I hatched a plan!
I had been drawing a bit, as I oft do, and I love designing outfits, making coordinates, and whatnot. Just a bit of a time killer. And I had drawn a vague design in my notebook and then later redrew it in a more....artistic way.

I will now draw your attention to the skirt portion. See the flower clusters and all around the rim? That's my course of action for this skirt. I'm going to build a cluster around where the ink stain is and then have them trail around the edge of the skirt. (The second picture, on a different note, has the entirety of Shakespeare's "Shall I compare the to a summers day" sonnet written on the swirls)
At the moment I'm a bit stuck, since I have managed to lose my embroidery pen and am missing about 11 threads I need. XD Go figure. All I have right now is the lone leaf covering the ink stain.
It's going to take a while to finish but I work pretty fast and it's fun. I'm really excited, I hope it turns out really well!

I've been embroidering for about 1 1/2 years at this point. I've done a few other projects, like my old pink skirt. I had gotten nail polish on it and it was looking not so hot, so I went around the base and put hearts over all of the stains. And I made a bow with little red hearts on it. But mostly I just do the embroidery equivalent of doodles by doing little projects for fun. Like these two. The second one I never finished. >_> I got bored.
So yeah, I'll be sure to keep you updated on the growth of the flowers over my skirt. :3
Bye! <3
